As thousands of festival-goers prepare to attend Zimfest Live 2026 on Saturday, 25 July 2026, organisers have confirmed that comprehensive measures have been put in place to help visitors stay safe and comfortable during the expected hot weather.
The much-anticipated festival will take place at Delapré Abbey, London Road, Northampton, NN4 8AW, where Zimbabweans and friends of Zimbabwe from across the UK and beyond will gather for a day of music, food, culture and entertainment.
With warm temperatures forecast across much of the UK, Zimfest organisers have announced that free drinking water will be available throughout the festival. Water stations will be located at the end of each bar, allowing festival-goers to refill and access drinking water easily throughout the day. Bottled water will also be available to purchase from vendors across the site.
The initiative is part of Zimfest’s commitment to ensuring visitors enjoy the festival safely while remaining hydrated in the summer heat.
Festival organisers are encouraging everyone attending to drink plenty of water throughout the day, wear suitable clothing, make use of shaded areas where possible and take sensible precautions to avoid dehydration or heat-related illness.
The organisers said:
“We’ve made sure there will be plenty of free drinking water available, with water stations at the end of each bar. Bottled water will also be available to purchase. We’re encouraging everyone to stay hydrated throughout the day and to take sensible precautions in the heat.”
Zimfest Live has grown into one of the largest celebrations of Zimbabwean culture outside Zimbabwe, attracting thousands of visitors every year. The festival offers a vibrant programme featuring live music, traditional dance, fashion, food, family entertainment, cultural exhibitions and market stalls showcasing Zimbabwean businesses and organisations.
As excitement builds for this year’s event, organisers are urging attendees to plan ahead, stay hydrated and enjoy what promises to be another memorable celebration of Zimbabwean heritage and community spirit.
With favourable weather expected and additional welfare measures now in place, festival-goers can look forward to a safe, enjoyable and unforgettable Zimfest Live 2026.
