Harare, Zimbabwe (News of The South) – On Saturday Zimbabweans witnessed the historic, biggest funeral ever to be held in the country when ‘Ginimbi” was laid to rest at his Domboshava mansion.

Zimbabwe’s top socialite, entertainer, businessman hit the World’s news headlines when he collided with a Honda fit leading to his death in the early hours of Sunday morning last week.



People from all walks of life all age groups attended the countrys biggest funeral in Domboshava. Many expressed their sad loss of their icon and heroe Ginimbi who was laid to rest in a gold Versace caskett.

The unique funeral was well planned to the last deatail with Ginimbi having identified his resting place and made known his requirements for his funeral.

Ginimbi’s funeral goes down in the World history books as people have never seen such a grand funeral that got everyone out of their houses during the ongoing covid-19 pandemic. Almost everyone went out to witness the proceedings, others lined up on Borrowdale road at the accident crash site, others waited patiently outside the the Doves Funeral parlour so they could catch a glimpse of the hearse. The roads leading to Domboshava were all lined up with people wanting to be part of the historic event.



Ginimbi’s funeral brought a boost to Zimbabwe’s tourism as thousands travelled to Zimbabwe to bid farewell to Ginimbi. Hotels and lodges around Harare were full to capacity.
