Harare, Zimbabwe. (News of The South) – Fearless activist Sten Zvorwadza has hinted that there might be a massacre if police try to use brute force to break the mega demonstration ‘Munhu Wese MuRoad’ slated for tomorrow Friday November 18.

Speaking at a press conference in the capital Harare on Thursday,Zvorwadza who has been beaten by police on countless occasions said the citizens where determined and will not be deterred so the police should act lawfully to avoid ‘bloody skirmishes’.

“We have heard that police details will be deployed in their number
but we have also lined up a number of citizens who are determined.

“Let me warn the police that if they are going to act carelessly they will kill a lot of people,”said the activist with a straight face.

The organizers of the demonstrations also dispelled rumours circulating on social media that the planned demo had been cancelled.

“Let me clarify that the demonstration is on tomorrow and it will be done simultaneously with the Bulawayo (Zimbabwe’s second largest city)
demo where some of our comrades are already doing mobilization,”clarified Parson Dzamara brother to missing Itayi
Dzamara,a journalist-cum-activist.

Dzamara who is now a member of the Occupy Africa Unity Square an
organization his brother founded said they will be demonstrating
against bond notes and corruption.
The demo will start at 9 in the morning.

The demonstration will rekindle memories of the running battles that
characterised the myzimbabwe campaign launch and the NERA demo where protestors ran amok burning tyres.

However, many protestors were apprehended in drag-net arrests wher even tourists were not spared as evidenced in Victoria Falls. Other protestors where battered by suspected ZANU PF militias and law
enforcement agencies.

To contain the growing civil unrest police had to effect a ban on
demonstration which the activists tried to rescind in court and only got a reprieve for a short time after Judge Priscilla Chigumba ruled in their favour (activists).

However, the state opposed the ruling and police had to effect another temporary ban which has since elapsed. The social movements had their planned demonstration denied clearance
by police but they are vowing to defy the police directive.
