Heritage Survival Band will bring their signature and totally unique energetic never-to-be-missed live performance to the Rollers on Friday 22nd of June 2014 in support of their new Album, ‘RWENDO’ with hits such as‘Too much of Everything’, ‘Musikana akanaka’ and ‘This World’ just to mention a few due for release soon.
The band will be joined by Rollers resident DJ’s and the event is being hosted by yours truly ROLLERS CLUB.
Given that their singer /song writer, Zivai ‘Zee’ Guveya has been playing music for many years, it is no surprise that this band has come to be known as to blend traditional melodies of folk music with contemporary urban Afro grooves with a traditional Zimbabwean flavour.
The unique sounds are a combination of Guitars, Trombone, Drums, Kongas and Mbira.
Heritage Survival Band have performed at festivals, concert halls, clubs and pubs throughout England, as well as toured The Isle of Wight.
Their wealth of experience includes working with top artists of the likes of Thomas Mapfumo, Alick Macheso, Simon Chimbetu, Tongai Moyo and The Zimbabwe Police Band. Heritage Survival Band is Zee Guveya, Tomson Chauke, Paul ‘Prada’ Kuzinya, Norman Muza, Tendai Bhasvi, Grabriel ‘Konyai’ Makamanzi, and Willard ‘Ras Willow’ Karanga.
