Zanu PF UK continues to launch its branches in the UK with the latest being the Southwest Branch, which will be launched in the Bracknell.

This is the second Home Counties Branch of the growing Party after they opened another Branch in Kent.

Our correspondent managed to catch up with the incoming Branch Chairman Alfred Benyera who was running around putting up finishing touches to the preparations and said:

“We will continue with our road show where we will set up a Branch executive as well as have interactive business presentations by leading members of the Zimbabwean Business community and senior UK Party leadership.

We have compiled a dossier of investment opportunities in Zimbabwe which will be presented on the day. The participants and those interested will be given opportunities to ask any questions they have.”

“On the political front, we will discuss the state of the Party in the UK as well as the vision for the future. We are closely watching the events in Zimbabwe regarding the opposition. Should they recall some of their MPs we will encourage some of our members to go and fight for those posts. The Party at home is very supportive of candidates from the Diaspora. As a Party here we will also look at ways of helping to fund those campaigns.”

He added that Zanu PF-UK was not a talk shop but a practical entity with real tangible programmes which they believe will not only bring value to Zimbabweans but will also make a difference to the lives of Zimbabweans both in the UK and in Zimbabwe.

Their South West Branch will include Reading, Slough, Maidenhead, parts of Surrey and Buckinghamshire.

The meeting will be held at Hanworth community Centre, Hanworth road, Bracknell, RG12 8ZW from 16.30hrs – 19.30hrs. This will be followed by a period of entertainment, networking and interactions. Food will be served courtesy of the ladies from South West.
