Harare. (News Of The South) – At a time the country is seized with issues of economic revival it’s ironic that some quarters of the political compound are in religious caverns seized with theological matters and dark arts of life such as fate.

The hand of fate always seems to have the next step of tomorrow calculated out and this brings us to the repetition of events from a past time getting re-enacted again and again with different personnel.

And theology armed as it is with heavy philosophies that sometimes border on the absurd always has an explanation for everything.

Theology can explain a late train, a dead father or a rotten apple since its syllabus encompasses a host of everything.

Morgan Tsvangirai may be currently debating such theological topics as he tries to deal with the resurrection of Welshman Ncube who became Tendai Biti and is now a Nelson Chamisa.
As one writer said he should be musing that something startles where I thought I was safest.
The cycle of his adversaries breeding so close to the creaking perch of his power clearly startles him.
The embattled opposition leader is getting no respite as the environment in the MDC-T has made it seasonal that at whatever point in time the leader’s position is always threatened by something so
close and so familiar.

Nelson Chamisa’s rise to eminence in the MDC-T has no simple scientific or logical explanation. The man is simply another politician lacking any magnetic charisma to eulogise him about.

The great writer William Shakespeare lamented that some are born great, some achieve greatness whilst some have greatest thrust upon them and Chamisa seems to be one of those upon whom fate has thrust greatness.

Of course in the midget form and size of opposition politics. He is plain and rudimentary as a tactician and being where he is today is a matter of Tsvangirai’s benevolence and the chance swing of fate.

The only alluring thing about him are his boyish looks that look misplaced in the trenches of politics but that will only take you so far in this trade.

Politics requires something more than looks and may not even need them. Ask Cde Joseph Chinotimba. How then he comes to be the whispered thorn in the side of the MDC-T apostle obviously becomes a matter of invisible hands from the beyond since basic deductions will show you that Chamisa has not scripted any tactical moves.

He has been a plain cork carried by waves spurred on themselves by a wind breathed off elsewhere to be landed on a firmer beach.

Reports recently said that Tsvangirai is now caught in a battle with Thokozani Khupe who wants Chamisa dealt with strongly and expeditiously.

The fear is that his continued stay will embolden him and lead to the repetition of what has become a natural event in the party, which is the splintering of the fading movement or more potently challenge for the presidency.

Chamisa is about to become another version of Welshman Ncube who from the position of Secretary General became engorged with his own power lusts and broke off to exercise his wet dream.

Since then Welshman has been largely a normative none-entity that has given birth to nothing useful. Tendai Biti high on statutes did the same and is already on the slide to nothingness, with a splinter off his own body in Elton Mangoma.

Chamisa failed to get his fated position of Secretary General, losing to Douglas Mwonzora, and that should have warned him that his path to greatness had just suffered the first stumble due to human crafting.

Fated as he may seem to be to rise, he has risen at the wrong time in the party’s growth, itself a slow withering process. After so many splinters what remains in the MDC-T are largely Tsvangirai lovers.
Lovers in the emotional sense of the word. Men and women who adore him and even if they perceive the darkness ahead of the party their form of a solution lies not in his removal but something opposite.

They are members who will by and large defend his standing and position. Thus an insurrection against Tsvangirai won’t bear functional benefits since it won’t have much support.

Thus he won’t and can’t break off from the party and form anything functional. He is feared to be able to challenge Tsvangirai for his position in the party and that could have been able to bear fruits some time ago.

Today the party is a reclusive hovel of battle weary dreamers picking at their wounds and comfortable in seeing out their last days without disturbances such as scandalous upheavals of man such as Chamisa fighting their leaders.

We believe fate to be the script writer who sees all the way to the end from the beginning but this time the MDC-T and Chamisa are coming to its dead end.

For the party it’s decaying in so scientifically accurate a manner such that history won’t have a hard time detailing its slow journey into extinction.

In the while Chamisa is feeling the breeze of his rise as a political entity whilst all that’s happening to him is nothing more than a strong hold of vertigo.

A vertigo blown softly upon by the private media in their quest for news but that is leading to a dead end where none of them will be able to pass through.
