London. (News of The South) – When it rains people say the season is good and will probably bring forth some good harvest. Similarly, when people embark on a somewhat special mission and God sends down some rain from Heaven, the mission is believed to be successful.

The rain is often referred to as a blessing from God and a symbol of God’s love hence a symbol of good harvest.

On the 18th of September 2018, Pastor Richard Tembo and Ms Eugene Majuru embarked on a mission to confer with the custodians of the remains of Zimbabwe’s First Chimurenga War Heroes Mbuya Nehanda and other Heroes at the Natural History Museum in London to pursue the issue of repatriation.

The weather was confirmed to be fine and clear prior to departure on the 3 hour long drive to london and there was no need to even worry about carrying an umbrella. However, London weather is known to be unpredictable. But for anyone to doubt any good weather confirmed even two days before would have been too extreme.

Having travelled a very pleasant journey and confirming our arrival in London with the Director of the Museum Mr J Jackson, we made our way to his office which was less than 200 meters away from where we had parked. There was a sudden heavy grey cloud in the sky and before we said a second word, we were covered in an inexplicably down pour. All we did was look at each other and said what a blessing. We decided not to take shelter as most of the people did, in fact one could just feel a feeling of a lull so much like in a lap. Within a minute the rain had done its proper work, but despite having soaked, our clothes did not show anything even our host did not notice anything and after the 45 minutes we set discussing, we were dry again like nothing happened.

While sat in the boardroom as the meeting progressed We looked through the window and there was sunshine again outside, this was like a dream. When we finished our meeting and the moment we stepped our feet out of the museum premises, there again the same heavy rain pounded but this time it was like someone did it on purpose because even the shoes were like a tiny fish pond full of water.

However, we said to each other this is indeed a blessing that should encourage us to pursue the issue of repatriation with vigour for the benefit of the nation and everyone else who was not present. We have no doubt whatsoever that if we put God first in everything we do, we will never fail, for we know for certain that rain comes from God not idols, as the bible says in Jeremiah 14:22. Prophet Jeremiah asked: “Are there any among the idols of the nations who give rain?”

To us this was indeed a symbol of good harvest and we will succeed under what come may, for the happiness of our nation. Zimbabwe’s First Chimurenga war heroes will finally go home and rest in peace as rhe time is nigh.
