Harare, Zimbabwe (News of the South)-Once upon a time Reason Wafawarova was a rambling political status-quo bootlicker who waffled through half pages of the Herald broadsheet licking every tendril of the President.
His expansive articles dealing with just about anything from which he could scoop up some cream to dab on the leader’s aged cheeks, were not an eyesore but a pain to the bottom of the heart (not the other bottom)
However a change seems to have set or is setting upon the Australian based columnist who has been producing some strange faced twits. Trust Twitter to befuddle any man into revealing the real contents of his heart.
Reading down his recent twits one is beset by the strange after-glow that Wafawarova has of late jumped onto a new path of thinking and is subtly setting down a foundation upon which he shall built a defence when whatever he is spying ahead comes into the flesh.
Here goes Wafawarova, just as President Mugabe looks hell bent on a nature path none can defy:
“Nothwistanding the devastating effects and after-effects of slavery and colonisation, Africa is poor because of poor leadership” 4 January
Now that’s not from Pres Mugabe’s line of thinking. Africa is poor due to foreign meddling, colonial residues and persons, plus sanctions NOT poor leadership. Anathema Reason.
“Let us be honest with ourselves, Zimbabwe is in a mess, and the leadership in place is hopelessly incapable of fixing the quagmire” 2 January
No no, be honest with yourself Reason. We have known that for a long time and only you were lost in the murk of lapping and licking. That’s no Eureka statement, latecomer.

Lost generation my ass (asses if any are left after paying Dokora’s fees). We have been getting lost due to man like you Not-so-reasonable-Reason one day licking , the next biting when the sun is setting on your man of hope.

And it’s tasting not testing Reason. Are you groveling to factional hip-hopping now, now that your type of music is no longer entertaining in the crazed empire of the liberation struggle?

Alright you are now a philosopher massaging our ills with ‘processes of liberation’ when we have just hiccupped on a big chunk of un-chewed pride swallowed in seized farms and gung-ho politics of ranting at anything white.

The sucker punch from dear Mr Analyst safe down-under at last awakening to the fact that someone has been surviving on electioneering and feeding us a whole buffet of empty slogans.
All the same thanks Reason, even the Prodigal Son was hugged on returning, we hug you too as you trudge back into the light.
