Harare, Zimbabwe (News of the South)-More and more Twitter is unravelling beings, providing an open space where personalities are clashing in an unrestrained and ‘politically incorrect’ manner as Prof Jonathan Moyo and Doug Coltart have shown today.

The Higher Education Minister clashed with Coltart the human rights activist of former Education Minister David Coltart over the donation of food to floods ravaged Tsholotsho villagers.

Prof Moyo refused to offer thanks to USAID over food donated by an NGO on the technicality that he could not thank a secondary partner but the NGO who brought it to his constituency a move which did not go down well with Coltart.

In a Twitter statement Coltart said the Prof’s refusal to acknowledge the act was due to his being consumed by hate.

“May God bless you both, and you too Prof. it is a sad state to be consumed by hate. May Christ free you”, he wrote.

Moyo did not take kindly to this remark and launched back.

“Amazing to see a hypocrite being self-righteously holier than thou; blissfully pretending to be unaware of his sins. Good day”, he retorted.

Coltart took the rebuke meekly, professing his being a Christ filled person, the reason.

“Thanks both for your kind words. Though I often fail, if I have shown humility it is Christ in me”.

The Prof however was not having none of it and lambasted the activist.

Christ is not a racist. He’s not only in you but in others as well, including those whose views and beliefs you routinely mock!, he said.

Moyo has taken to Twitter with gusto and routinely clashes with various personalities in verbal battles in which he rarely if ever concedes defeat over any issue.

However he has also won some admirers through his open approach to interaction.
