Zimbabwe`s former Big Brother Africa, the Chase, contestant Pokello Nare who had been in Ghana to meet her boyfriend`s family and stayed for more than four weeks is finally back in Harare with her Ghanaian lover and toyboy, Elikem Kumordzi.

The queen of swag, as she is affectionately known received some grave criticism from her fans for her “long stay” in Ghana saying she was setting a bad example for the youths as such behavior is tantamount to cohabiting.

“I think she has overstayed in Ghana. According to our culture, it is not acceptable for a woman to elope let alone overstay at a boyfriend’s house. Yes, you can visit your boyfriend’s house for formal introductions for two or three days.

“What we are seeing is a bad example of Zimbabwean culture. Maybe the Ghanaian tradition is different, but as Africans we share a lot in common. Imagine she is a role model and what example is she setting to the young girls?” said one fan.

However, the couple, who are now called Polikem by their legion of fans have gone into the fashion business and Elikem who is a tailor is reportedly stocking Pokello`s shoes shop with his designs.
The pair, which met in the Big Brother House, is using their new found fame to flog their clothes on social media and they say business is booming.

It had been more than four weeks since Pokello left Zimbabwe for Ghana where, among other things she was formalising her relationship with Elikem and to meet with her would-be in-laws but according to the Zimbabwean tradition, a girl is not supposed to stay with her boyfriend until she marries.

While in Ghana, the couple also met some of the Miss Malaika – Ghana 2013 contestants before they featured on Rhythms in Ghana, a popular television show and made an impressive appearance on Personality Profile on Joy FM, Ghana’s top radio station.
