Top South African rapper Nasty C (born Nsikayesizwe Ngcobo) put up an electric performance on Saturday during the “Change a Life Concert” which was his debut Zimbabwean performance.

Nasty C who was the headline act of the concert which was organised by Alfred Dondo Foundation in partnership with Impala Car Rental lived up to expectation with a lot of energy sending fans into frenzy as he treated them with hit pieces from his latest album.

Speaking during a press conference prior to the concert, Nasty C said he was keen to be part of a project targeting to make a difference in lives of underprivileged children and felt welcomed in Zimbabwe.

“I’m excited because it is something I have been looking forward to and the time has finally come.

“This time it is for a good cause, helping people is a bonus,” Nasty C said.

The young rapper connected with the crowd throughout his act and expressed gratitude to his Zimbabwean fans before he left the stage.

“Thank you Zimbabwe for the love and support you have shown me.

“Each of you here has contributed towards helping and supporting the children,” he said.

Ammara Brown; who was also billed to perform at the concert alongside other local artistes; Jah Prayzah, King 98, Ex Q among others; did not show up but that did not affect the hype of the show.

Jah Prayzah who needed redemption from his Defence Forces Day performance rectified the disappointment with an electric stage presence which was even catapulted by Nutty O and Freeman when they joined him on stage for their collaborations.

Jah Signal who was the surprise act delighted fans as he closed down the show after Silent Dosh, Abisha Palmer, Ash Styles and DJ Nosh rotated on the decks to entertain the crowds.

Proceeds from the show will go towards helping children in Chivhu under the care of Alfred Dondo Foundation.
