Harare (NewsoftheSouth) – NORTON legislator Temba Mliswa denied he was involved in a nasty exchange with musician Jah Prayzah over the latter’s alleged sexual relationship with his “wife” Cynthia Mugwira.
An impeccable source revealed that the voluble independent parliamentarian called Kean Mushapaidze, Jah Prayzah’s manager, two weeks ago complaining about his client’s sexual relationship with Cynthia.
Things allegedly lost all civil coating when Mushapaidze told him off, with a sarcastic remark “mukadzi wako takamupa basa” (we gave your wife a job), prompting Mliswa to lose his cool.
Mliswa professed ignorance of the issue, telling this publication that he does not even know Jah Prayzah’s manager’s name.
Mliswa indicated he was not married to Mugwira, one of the 13 mothers to his 17 children.
Mliswa revealed that he sired four pairs of children with four different women, with each of the other nine children representing a further nine women in his life.
“I don’t even have his (Mushapaidze) number at all…for me to work with Jah Prayzah l went through Cynthia, l went through Cynthia,” Mliswa said.
“So how would we have a nasty exchange? l don’t know, l don’t know…l don’t even have his number…l dont even know what his name is,” the legislator protested.
The former Zanu PF party member, praising Mugwira for being a great mother to the two children they sired, admitted fighting for her, though in a different matrix.
“I will always fight for her from a professional point of view…she is a professional and a good mother,” he said.
The former fitness trainer queried why he would fight with Jah Prayzah when he was not a musician, adding that he has his kind of women he dates, ostensibly dismissing Cynthia from the bracket.
“And why would l at all be involved in such a fight…l am not a musician, l have my own kind of women that l go for,” Mliswa further said.
“She’s a single woman, she can date whoever she wants please,” Mliswa pleaded, adding that whoever made the allegations had to provide evidence.
Mliswa explained that while he has worked with the musician in his Norton constituency, he has only been in contact with him through Cynthia, a woman he described as “a very smart person, a very smart lawyer.”
Contacted for confirmation, Mushapaidze only managed to dismiss the story after we offered to proceed to print without his side of the story:
“The issue of Hon Mliswa is not true.”
“We work well with his wife and have done so for many years now,” Mushapaidze said, referring to Mugwira as Temba’s wife.
Cynthia Mugwira – she is a lawyer and the legal counsel for Jah Prayzah – is one of several female names that have found themselves featured on some of the phenomenal musician’s songs.
