0 0Zimbabwe – Alick Macheso’s offer of $650 maintenance to estranged second wife Tafadzwa Mapako has been rejected by Mapako who claims Macheso introduced her and the children to a certain type of lifestyle and she prefers to maintain that style.
The lawyer representing Mapako,David Ngwerume sent s letter to Macheso rejecting the proposed temporary arrangement while awaiting paternity tests.
“Following your letter dated Wednesday April 23, our client instructs us that she is not accepting your interim maintenance proposal as it does not meet the needs thereof.
The proposal is a fallacy as it does not conform with the lifestyle that your client introduced (to) her and the children and that the negotiations are not yielding anything towards settlement,” reads the letter.
The sungura acehad offered Tafadzwa $200 per week, $350 per month for rentals and $100 for medicals.
Norman Mugiya of Mugiya and Macharaga, representing Macheso indicated his client`s willingness to keep the children after DNA tests had been carried out.
“The position of my client is clear that if the children belong to him he will take care of them but now these people are not coming for the DNA tests,” said Mugiya.
Mapako has already failed to show up twice with the children in question for DNA tests to be conducted.
