(News of The South) – England have been crowned champions of this year’s Spar International Netball Challenge tournament hosted by South Africa.
The teams that took part in the tournament were England, South Africa and Lesotho after New Zealand and Zimbabwe failed to take part in the tournament in the eleventh hour.
Despite South ‘Africa’s Spar’ Proteas managed to win the last game 52-46 against England’s ‘Vitality Roses’ the Britons won more games to win the championship.
Ironically, despite playing on home soil South Africa had only two black faces who featured in their final fixture against England.
