Zimbabwean British Heavyweight champ 30 year old Dereck Chisora will clash with Tyson Fury on July 26 at the Phones4U Arena in Manchester in one of the most eagerly anticipated British showdowns in years.
Chisora who is currently in winning mode won his last five fights since his defeat to David Haye at Upton Park in 2012.
Currently nursing a hamstring injury Chisora believes he will teach Fury a lesson when the pair meet.
Intolerable behaviour displayed by Fury as seen in his pre-match antics can be seen in the way he violently overturned a table and stormed out during his pre-fight press conference with Chisora in March.
A raring to go Chisora said: “Tyson has got one over me and he thinks he’s the greatest fighter in Great Britain, but he’s not.”
This summer’s bout is a rematch after the pugilists met three years ago. It resulted in a comfortable points win for Fury while there were accusations that Chisora was carrying too much weight and was regarded out of shape.
Boxing promoter Frank Warren has given the boxers a huge incentive to win. The winner is almost certainly assured to challenge WBO, IBF and WBA champion Wladimir Klitschko.
The British heavyweight scene has been looking for a leader following the recent years of instability and David Haye’s shock retirement.
The Chisora-Fury bout is a great opportunity for either man to secure fame and fortune on the European and world stage.
