Popularly known as Marcy in the Zimbabwe music circles, Marcy Janure says she is ready for regional and international markets.
The former Seke 3 High student says she has been molded by sharing the stage with international artists on platforms like the Shoko Festival.
“I have participated in many editions of the Shoko festival and have got the international flair that comes up with sharing the stage with international acts,”said the affable artist,
Together with her band Marcy and the Reality Shakers have serenaded revellers with what she calls “mature music’.
“I choose the genre of afro-jazz because it helps to connect with my audience which is the mature people,” says the crooner.
Her first album was recorded in 2012 and was called Chishuwo. Her late project Maboorangoma released last year is receiving rave reviews on the local music scene.
Local arts enthusiast analyst Kundai Marunya has heaped praises on the young female artist saying she is destined for greater heights and she just needs discipline.
“From the performances I have seen of hers she is in the class of your Dudu Manhengas, Edith WeUtongas and the late Chiwoniso Maraire and what she needs now is discipline,” said the arts guru.
