October is a month associated with successful Revolutions. The October 1917 Revolution is a case in point in Russia and the Ptuz 2002 October Revolution that led to the dismissal of 629 teachers in Harare alone must also be remembered. Needless to point that we successfully defended the teachers and all returned to the profession. Similarly, there is no way dedicated teachers as those in Zimbabwe can be dismissed for being incapacitated as it is the responsibility of the employer to capacitate them.
Cdes we have an arrogant Minister and a medalist in verbal marathon, misrepresentation of facts and the incapacitation status in schools. Yes he is hard- hearted like other ministers whose children are not in public schools put in private schools or learning outside Zimbabwe. The Minister is priding in statistics sent by school heads and sees normalcy out of abnormality. Such statistics have also been fabricated by the Minister. We therefore appeal to all school heads and a few comrades irrigating their pants to leave the schools so that dishounerable Matema can send DSIs and Directors to man the schools. The time for a blackout on statistics from schools is now. We surely expected the powers that be to mellow down to a more constructive approach. Sadly they even see foreign hands behind genuine incapacitation of teachers.
Let all teachers thrive for our decisive battle by abandoning a theatre of our incapacitation struggle, viz, the school. We also urge parents and pupils to knock sense in arrogant officials by all means necessary.
Venceremos
