Woman Slips, Falls Amongst Crocodiles

BEITBRIDGE,Zimbabwe.(News Of The South) A Zimbabwean woman who lost foot and fell in to crocodile infested Limpopo river at an illegal crossing point along the Zimbabwe/South Africa boarder has only providence to thank for managing to swim safely to the shore.
The lady was reportedly among a group of people crossing illegally in to South Africa from Zimbabwe.
Wednesday 09 December 2020, the unidentified woman was reportedly walking along the “Engineer’s Rail” under the Old Limpopo Bridge, (now Alfred Beit Bridge) when she slipped foot and plunged in to the river about halfway across the 50m long bridge.
Online publication ‘NewsDzeZimbabwe’ reports that, travellers witnessed the tense filled moment as the woman swam safely to shore.
Illegal immigrants exploit the weak boarder and its systems, to move between the two countries.However many die in the jaws of crocodiles and hippos of the Limpopo.
