ZANU PF UK District Chairman Praises Conferring of “Hero Status” on Late John Ushe

0 0London, UK (News of The South) – Xavier Zavare, Chairman of the ZANU PF UK District, has expressed his profound appreciation for the conferment of “hero status” on the late Cde John Ushe, who passed away on May 6th. The recognition was bestowed upon Mr. Ushe by ZANU PF and His Excellency President ED Mnangagwa.
In a heartfelt message released following the announcement, Chairman Zavare lauded the decision, emphasizing Mr. Ushe’s unwavering commitment and service to Zimbabwe.
“We want to thank ZANU PF and His Excellency President ED Mnangagwa for this recognition of Cde John Ushe’s dedication and loyalty to duty, the Republic of Zimbabwe and its people,” stated Chairman Zavare.
Reflecting on their close working relationship within the UK, Chairman Zavare highlighted Mr. Ushe’s deep patriotism and his efforts to positively represent the party and government through his conduct at the Zimbabwe House in London.
“As ZANU PF UK District, we worked closely with Cde Ushe and like many of us from our UK based Zimbabwe community experienced his patriotism, his dedication to ensuring that the Party and government are shone in good light through his conduct at the Zimbabwe House in London,” the message read.
Chairman Zavare further emphasized that Mr. Ushe’s role at the London Embassy transcended that of a caretaker. He described him as someone who consistently went “above and beyond” in his duties, a sentiment echoed by many who interacted with him.
Testimonials from prominent figures such as Dr Frederick Shava, Dr Felicia Munjaidi, Ambassador Kufa Chinoza, and Rtd Brigadier General Zabanyama were cited as evidence of Mr. Ushe’s exceptional character. Chairman Zavare noted their ability to “give testimony to how vaUshe was a wonderful man, dedicated, honest hardworker, disciplined, loyal, helpful and always friendly.”
The message underscored the widespread respect and admiration Mr. Ushe garnered within the Zimbabwean community in the UK. “It’s very hard to find anyone who has a bad word to say regarding Cde Ushe,” Chairman Zavare affirmed.
Concluding his tribute, Chairman Zavare emphasized the valuable lessons that could be learned from Mr. Ushe’s interactions with people from all backgrounds. “As we remember him, we can learn a lot from how he engaged and interacted with people from all backgrounds. He was a wonderful man. And we will surely miss him.”
Chairman Zavare ended his message with a traditional farewell, saying, “May His soul rest in peace.”
