Harare, Zimbabwe (News of the South)-The Zimbabwe Republic Police band put up a polished performance as they belted out songs in praise of President Mugabe at the burial of Retired Chief Justice Godfrey Guwa Chidyausiku at the National Heroes Acre yesterday.
President Mugabe has been in power since 1980 and is Zimbabwe’s only ruler ever since the country attained independence from Britain that year.
Due to the separation of powers among the three arms of government namely the Executive, the Judiciary and Parliament, President Mugabe has relied on friendly jurists in the successful implementation of his policies among them the Land Reform Program.
Addressing mourners at the burial of the late Chief Justice yesterday, President Mugabe described Chidyausiku as a man who never betrayed his country through passing judgements that ensured that the land was returned to its rightful owners.
