Zimbabwe’ senior soccer team, the warriors still await CHAN payment some two months after the curtain came down at the tournament held in South Africa at the beginning of the year.
However, the Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) is from Wednesday expected to start paying the warriors their bonuses for their credible African Nations Championship top four finish.
ZIFA Chief Executive Officer Jonathan Mashingaidze on Tuesday said the association would on Wednesday start paying Ian Gorowa’s boys for their top notch performance in Cape Town.
The good news comes less than a week after incumbent Cuthbert Dube won the ZIFA presidential election to remain in office for yet another four year term.
ZIFA is Zimbabwe’s football mother board.
