Lilongwe, Malawi. (News of The South) Barely some few weeks when many parts of the Southern part of Africa was devastated by Tropical Cyclone Idai another cyclone called Kenneth is expected to make a landfall in Northern Mozambique, Southern Tanzania by Thursday or Friday.

The effects of Tropical Cyclone Kenneth are likely to wreck havoc to some northern parts of Malawi and Zambia.

Families and friends who have relatives living in these areas are being warned to alert their relations to move to higher grounds in case of a possible flooding or landslide.



Meanwhile floods and mudslides in Durban, South Africa have claimed dozens of lives and devastated the region.
One of the affected victims said “I heard a loud bang and suddenly water came gushing in to our house. I heard my children screaming from their bedroom.”

Many households are likely to face starvation this year following the flash floods which have swept away farms and livestock in many parts of the Southern African Development Community (Sadc) region.
