Harare, Zimbabwe(News of the South)- Veteran Chimurenga music maestro Thomas Mapfumo staged a memorable show in Leicester, UK that spellbound the thronging crowd of expatriates.
The now 72 year old was a bundle of verve as he entertained the crowd though his age is now showing in the reserved nature of his dance moves.
Mapfumo played a number of his old hits that included Bhutsu Mutandarika and Pfumvu Paruzevha to which the crowd sang along joyously.
Alick Macheso, supposed to be the other act, failed to come for the show as his papers were said not to have been in order for passage into the UK.
