(News of The South) – On September 22, 2020, at the Royal Summit of Her Imperial Majesty, Queen Sheba III entitled the « 4th Industrial/Digital Revolution – The Reset », Chief, Honourable Timothy McPherson (Ra Semako) heading the Economic Community of the 6th Region (ECO-6) and Dr. Louis Georges-Tin, the Prime Minister of the State of the African Diaspora, jointly announced the launch of the LUMI currency being the currency of ECO-6 and the currency for the State of the African Diaspora.
A further announcement was made that a US$6 trillion (digital LUMI equivalent) African Stimulus for Health, Environment and the Economy (« ASHEE ») will be provided to all the members of the African Diaspora nations and territories and the Kingdoms and territories of Africa through the African Kingdoms Federation. A new bank called The Pan-African Kingdoms Bank will also be created to facilitate the African Kingdoms Stimulus.
The Economic Community of States, Territories, and Realms of the African Diaspora Sixth Region (ECO-6) was established by Treaty on August 1st, 2019. ECO-6 has been established as an enabling framework for cooperation between Member states, nations and territories of the African Diaspora both among themselves as well as with the 5 other regional economic communities on the continent i.e ECOWAS, SADC etc. ECO-6 seeks to make the Diaspora the most important trading partner for Africa, with a view towards poverty eradication through African industrialization and internal trade. The LUMI being the currency for ECO-6 has the real potentiality of fulfilling these objectives.
Chief Timothy E. McPherson Jr is a descendant of the Nanny Town Maroons (Windward Maroons) he is currently the Minister of Finance for the Accompong Maroons (Leeward Maroons) on the island of Jamaica.
Since assuming his office as Minister of Finance for the Central Solar Reserve Bank, Mr. McPherson has made numerous strategic strides in restructuring the economy, and he has become particularly notable for the creation and introduction of the LUMI currency. The LUMI from the word LUMINOUS symbolising the Sun (Ra) Accompong’s new currency is a commodity underwritten with solar and renewable energy. “It will contribute to Pan-african climate change initiatives and the development of sustainable energy throughout the diaspora and Africa” – Chief Timothy McPherson stated.
The Prime Minister, Dr. Louis-Georges Tin of the State of the African Diaspora welcomed the State’s adoption of the new currency which will stimulate the much needed growth and development within the African Diaspora, Africa and its Kingdoms and territories. He commented: “The LUMI is essential to our sovereignty. It is our pride, our strength and our future”
The LUMI is underwritten by 100KWh of solar energy and convertible to 4 grains of gold. 4 grains of gold in weight equals 0.2592 grams. The current value for 1 LUMI is US$15.96 making it a formidable currency for global Africans.
The LUMI digital currency will be issued in the amount of US$100 (6.26 LUMI) to every African Diasporan and every African on the continent, 18 years and above, via a digital wallet. The first issuance of funds will commence on October 1, 2020. The last issuance of funds will be October 1, 2023.
The stimulus funding will be used in priority to stimulate the Pan-African economy and development funds will be made available for the Kingdoms of Africa for training, entrepreneurship, skills development, business, healthcare, social economic growth, goods and services.
Keturah Amoako, the Vice Prime Minster and Minister of Repatriation of the State of the African Diaspora commented :
‘’We have been waiting for this moment for a very very long time, the LUMI is the light a beacon which will lead us to economic empowerment, upliftment and for sure a sense of pride and dignity. With the African Kingdoms and the African Diaspora integrated this is the ultimate unity and Pan-Africanism at its finest !’’
Her Imperial Majesty, the Queen of Sheba III, Throne Imperial Head of the African Kingdoms Federation of South Kingdoms stated :
