Harare, Zimbabwe (News Of The South) – When the President of the Republic of Zimbabwe arrived at the launch of the Cultural Week last Saturday at Glamis Stadium he had the opportunity to tour various exhibition stands with cultural endorsements.

In the midst of the tour President Mnangagwa was suprised by being given a human made sun hat designed in the modern context and the rest of the day the hat remained on his head till he left the cultural launch.

Apart from this, the world of recycling cans has made Susan Matimura realise lucrative profits due to her ability to manufacture hand made hats and caps.

In what Susan terms Recycling Art, modern looking hats and caps are now made from empty minute maids and coca cola cans which she collects from dumping sites.

“My work revolves around Recycling Arts where we collect empty Coca-Cola bottles and mirindas to craft fine looking hat products with modernized design.”

Susan’s magnificent art work grabs the attention of clients through her ability to craft designs with original imitations the likes of caps which resemble the colours endowed in the football clubs they support and sometimes the Zimbabwean flag.
