The Queen of Zim Dancehall, Lady Squanda, a Chitungwiza (Chi) town native, is the first woman to headline Zim Dancehall shows outside her native Zimbabwe taking in several cities in the United Kingdom and South Africa.

Her management company, Punchline Entertainment, launched its website http://www.punchlineent.com to much critical acclaim and applause from those who previously struggled to get access to Zim Dancehall music amongst other genres.

In 2012, working with several producers and artistes, alongside her label Afta Eight Records, distributed by Punchline Entertainment, the Queen of the ZimDancehall released her first album, called Lady Squanda – The Queen Pon Top.

Lady Squanda, who ventured onto the musical scene in 2008 with her popular song “Neshungu” which featured Freeman, is among several artistes who have taken dancehall to another level in the last few years. Her song “Squanda fire Ndini” is currently rocking national and internet radio, and the Marrie JernieMuzik produced video has already earned over 40000 hits on YouTube, earning Squanda accolades as one of the most sought after female dancehall artiste.

Lady Squanda has proved herself worthy of the dancehall queen title. When she performed as one of the curtain raisers for Agent Sasco’s show in Harare, she stood above most of her male counterparts. Lady Squanda has managed to fight off the prejudice that women cannot be stars in their own right when it comes to Zim dancehall where there are a few women. Most young ladies only feature on collaborations and rarely become credible artistes like what Squanda has done. Last year Squanda trounced Badman in the tune for tune concert that was held at Harare Gardens.

Lady Squanda has rubbed shoulders with celebrated international artistes who include David Constantine Brooks a.k.a. Mavado, Agent Sasco and she was performed at the reggae-dancehall clash which saw King Shango appearing at City Sports Centre.

Rollers Family Club will also be celebrating the conclusion of the 2013 Summer BBQ, Shisa nyama, Gochi-Gochi, Suya, Amawoso season bringing together Diaspora communities from across the globe for a day of fun, eating, drinking, fun for the kids and music supplied by top DJs and ft. live performances.

Rollers finale is taking place inside at Chingford Rugby Club, Waltham Way E4 8AQ.
