Harare, Zimbabwe (News of the South) – Nkosana Moyo has dismissed the chances of winning for the envisaged coalition of opposition parties saying any such union will create an entity that is big but useless.

Speaking to journalists in Harare where he launched his party called Alliance for the People’s Agenda (APA) Moyo ridiculed the idea behind coalitions.

“I’m a physicist and I understand that combining things does not always give you the results that you expect”

“Let me give you an example, if i take a litre of petrol and a litre of water and combine the two i end up with something that is not usable”

“Whereas originally I had a litre of petrol and a litre of water I end up having a bigger useless fluid”, he said in an apparent dig at the hoped for coalition of opposition parties which has already seen Morgan Tsvangirai and Joice Mujuru signing MOU’s.

Moyo’s entrance into the political field has resulted in mixed feelings with the public confused on how to define him.

Whereas many have been hoping that all opposition parties unite and square off against President Mugabe’s Zanu PF in 2018 a simmering battle for positions seems to be undermining the initiative with constant media clashes among the involved parties.

This had led to many conspiracy theories such as accusations that Mujuru’s party has been infiltrated by people from Zanu PF.
