Tinoonga Mawere|MDC T deputy president, Obert Chaurura Gutu, who has been accused of singing from the Zanu PF hymn book, has urged Zimbabweans to shelve their political differences and prioritise “national interest.”

Gutu is despised by members of the MDC Alliance for “betraying the struggle for democracy.” Writing on his official twitter handle yesterday Gutu said he would not be moved by relentless criticism from his political foes.

“Zimbabweans I’m a natural optimist. Where others prefer to see doom and gloom, I see hope and prosperity. I love Zimbabwe too much to wish
her bad,” wrote Gutu on twitter.

Gutu has also been castigated for allegedly sympathising with the ruling party Zanu PF.
