Zanu Pf secretary for Administration , Cde Didymus Mutasa has refuted media reports that his party’s special politburo meeting prohibited and ordered Zimbabwe`s Minister of Information, Media and Broadcasting services , Professor Jonathan Moyo to stop taking party issues to the media.

Addressing journalists in Harare Cde Mutasa said reports in local daily newspapers are not true, he also said it will not make sense to gag an Information Minister adding that doing so was damage to itself as he is government’s mouthpiece.

“It is the media that wants to propel in fighting within Zanu PF through publishing false stories that cause disharmony,” he said.

He couldn’t leave out the alleged upshot between Professor Moyo and the party’s secretary for information and publicity Cde Rugare Gumbo saying it’s up to the two to solve their problems and continue working peacefully for the benefit of the country.

“It is only the two who can sit down and openly discuss the issue so that they can work harmoniously for the benefit of the country.”

Cde Mutasa confirmed that the meeting did not change the plan of setting up election committee’s in each province to coordinate provincial elections .

The Zanu PF politburo meeting ,which was held on Saturday, 23 November at the party’s headquarters in Harare ,authorized the provincial elections held in Manicaland, midlands and Mashonaland central provinces and told some provinces that have not yet held elections to do so.
