As Zimbabweans , we have much to be thankful for. Many brave men and women serve in the struggle for our independence some are still in the armed forces. Those men and women who gave all for your peace and freedom. They uphold our values and protect our borders. One dedicated patriot and Hero cde Albert Ngulube remembers these comrades today. He has taken time to thank these people.
The real meaning of Memorial Day, though, is to remember and honor those men and women of the armed forces who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country and for our freedom, Ngulube has made everyday to be that day.
Today, there are many ways we can incorporate the true meaning of the heroes.
Cde Albert Ngulube was very touched by what he saw when he met some of the ex combatants who were injured during the struggle and also the general populace who can’t afford to purchase for themselves the crunches. With passion love and pain honourable Ngulube has sourced some crunches amoungst other medical equipment for our comrades and friends. Honourable Ngulube is requesting any one who might need crutches or wheel chairs to contact him as soon as possible. However he will be presenting these to BeitBridge hospital and clinics around his Constituency. If you can not get him you will enquire from your nearest Clinic you will be able to get help. There are a lot of things cde Ngulube has sourced to alleviate the problems of our heroes and general masses in his constituency.
The hard working Beitbridge East member of Parliament Albert Nguluvhe has sourced crutches and other walking aides for war veterans whose limbs may be failing from war injuries. He was driven by compassion and grief when he encountered former fighters bleeding from the wounds of the war.
To complement Nguluvhe’s efforts, a Beitbridge optician E Muzewe has offered free optical diagnosis to Beitbridge veterans of the armed struggle.
Nguluvhe however said his gesture will not be confined to war veterans alone but should also benefit other needy constituents.
Ngulube has always been a very compassionate man who can not eat until his men and women have eaten. Ngulube said
“I was very touched by what I saw when I met some of my fellow ex-combatants injured during our struggle. The general populace who can’t afford to purchase for themselves the crunches should also benefit,”
“I have sourced some crunches among other medical equipment. Before I present these to Beitbridge Hospital and clinics around my constituency I would prefer giving those without walking crunches,” he said.
He said later he will inform his constituents on other things he has sourced to improve their beings.
“I shall be updating later on the other things I shall be distributing,” he said.
He said after learning of his efforts Beitbridge optician Muzewe invited all former freedom fighters for free eye screening.
Muzewe runs an eye clinic in Beitbridge.
“Let all ex combatants come over for free eye screening at our surgery.” “That’s the best I can offer in appreciation for the greatest job they did to liberate our country,” Muzewe said.
Nguluvhe, who spent the best part of his post struggle life in presidential close security offices retired in 2017 and joined civilian life.
NGULUBE has transformed himself from a soldier to a politician and endears himself with his constituents by going back to basics where he engages in grassroots politics.
His constituency is one of the least developed areas of the country despite bordering highly developed South Africa.

He hopes the latest discovery of a rare type of diamonds stretching from his constituency to Chiredzi and Mwenezi district should bring development in his area.
The area needs, clinics modern shops and mobile phone, radio and television networks. The revenue from the newly found diamonds should be channelled to the region and benefit the people.
“At most we need reduce distances children walk for education. We should increase schools and take advantage of COVID 19 restrictions to build more schools,” he told Beitbridge Eye during an interview.
