0 0Tinoonga Mawere|President Emmerson Mnangagwa has expressed dismay at an incident in which state security agents have been captured in a footage assaulting a civilian.
Zimbabwean security forces have been accused of unleashing violence against unarmed civilians since the days of former President Robert Mugabe. Responding to a Skynews report on the alleged attack on the hapless civilian, Mnangagwa strongly condemned the security agents’ ” overzealous ” reaction.
“I was appalled by today’s @Skynews report. That is not the Zimbabwean way. I have instructed that the individuals behind this be arrested and I encourage all those impacted to contact the authorities and file an official complaint,” tweeted Mnangagwa.

However political observers maintain Mnangagwa is merely “shedding crocodile tears.”
