Zimbabwe, Bulawayo. – Highlanders Football Club stands on the verge of losing most of their star players to the rich South African ABSA Premier League.
The Bulawayo giants might lose most of their players to South Africa after most clubs down there expressed their interest for their players.
To date Bosso have already lost the midfield magician, Peter “Rio” Moyo who has joined Mpumalanga Blacks Aces.
According to a Bosso executive member Ndumiso Gumede who was recently quoted in some of the Dailies in Zimbabwe Milton Ncube will be leaving anytime this week to join Ajax Cape Town.
Ajax Cape town were impressed by the Player’s performance during the CHAN games played early this year which were held in South Africa.
The versatile player can be used in a number of positions, as a left back a midfielder or a striker.
Another Boso player who has already signed up by an ABSA Premier League Club is the poster boy, Kuda Mahachi. Mahachi has been snatched by the big spending Mamelodi Sundowns.
At the beginning of the season Bosso brought in a lot of players to strengthen their squad.
However, as things stand it looks like their once promising project will be referred back to the draughtsman for redrawing as a result of a massive exodus of players through transfers.
Khumbulani Banda brought in to strengthen the left back position has also been invited for trails in South Africa. He was signed from How Mine at the beginning of the season.
If Banda makes the grade after the two week trial period, he will be the fourth Bosso player to be signed by South African Clubs within a period of six months.
While this is a good move for the player, it is a step backwards for the team as they will be forced to go back to the market to look for another player. The biggest problem is that at times new players can take time to adjust in their new environment.
Judging by their performance against Dynamos last Sunday it clear that Bosso needs all the players available if they are to stage a strong campaign for league championship this season.
