Mariah Carey failed to deliver and has been criticised by fans for her poor vocal performance at a concert in Japan on Saturday
The 44-year-old singer kicked off her Elusive Chanteuse World Tour in Tokyo over the weekend, and some of her fans were not impressed.
One Twitter user wrote: “It’s a wrap for Mariah Carey’s singing career. You’re a legend. Time to retire. She can’t sing anymore. At all. What happened?”
Another concert-goer said: “Mariah Carey should’ve bowed out right when her voice was giving out. Save herself the embarrassment.”
Other fans who also attended the same gig tweeted they had enjoyed themselves.
A spokesperson said: “The comments we have heard from the fans have been great.”
Mariah is expected to tour through Asia this month for her tour, before heading to Australia and New Zealand.
