Harare, September 25, 2013 (News of the South)-The daughter of former SA president, Zindzi Mandela over the weekend postponed her wedding to her soldier fiancé Molapo Motlhajwa in a bid to wait for her father’s recovery who has been ailing sick lately.
Zindzi who did a noble thing will have to wait for their celebrations until Madiba gets better.
Earlier this year, Zindzi’s civil wedding reception wedding in Ikageng Township, in North West stunned a lot of people that even her mother Winnie Madikizela –Mandela Nelson Mandela divorced wife did not attend as it was envisaged that the main wedding would be this month whereby the bride was to make an arrival at a military base by helicopter.
She and her soldier signed at the magistrates court, then attended a celebratory lunch in a fancy white marquee.
Sources told journalists that Zindzi loves her dad sincerely and that she would not get married whilst he is still in his condition.
Another source close to the family said that there is controversy surrounding the bride’s family and that there will be no big military-style party wedding until further notice when the Mandela family dramas are sorted and if Madiba’s health improves.
The new man in Zindzi’s life has a daughter from a previous relationship. Molapo is one of the suspended workers for the SA National Defence Force after being involved at the Union Buildings strike in Pretoria.
However sources say Molapo brags about being a Mandela and some say the newlyweds are happy and can’t wait to move since Zindzi will start a new job as diplomat out of SA.
Zindzi was not available for comment as she was busy with preparations for her departure.
