Harare, Zimbabwe (News of The South) – Zimbabwean millionaire Wicknell Chivhayo who paid bridal price for his wife Lucy Muteke flashed too much money this exposing the wife’s family to armed robbers who are reported to have pounced on the in-law’s family home at their farm in Marondera. Chivhayo well known for his luxury lifestyle and buying cars for musicians and other Zimbabweans is currently on a money splashing spree dishing out US dollars as if he is the father Christmas of Zimbabwe. This practice has goner on for more than a year with Zimbabweans questioning his source of funds which never seem to dwindle. Of Late Chivhayo has been globe trotting in his private jet with new wife Lucy after divorcing former wife Sonja Madzikanda.

The more Zimbabweans talk about Wicknell`s behaviour the more he splashes the money. Young boys are people who are not used to receiving large sums of money are the ones known to behave like Wicknell. Some Zimbabweans are hurting as to why Wicknell does not support the vulnerable or why he can`t put his money into equipping hospitals and clinics or assisting children who fail to pay school fees or simply repairing the badly damaged roads across Zimbabwe.

The Bridal price day (roora day) on Saturday March 8 was the talk of most Zimbabweans and Wicknell rocked social media with posts all across mentioning the roora day. So now most Zimbabweans are looking forward to the wedding day which promises to be the biggest wedding, most likely it will be the wedding of the century and will go into the Guinness Book of records. We wait to find out. A whooping US$300 000 Was paid as bridal price.

Chivhayo today posted on his social media that he was offering a reward of $100 000 cash for information leading to the armed gang that pounced at Alpha Omega Farm and robbed his in-laws of a substantial amount of money including other valuables. Some social posts have stated that Chivhayo should have revealed the amount paid for bridal price at a much later day that way he would not have exposed in in-laws to robbers. Below ids the social media post by Chivhayo appealing for information that will lead to the apprehension of the robbers.


USD100,000 CASH REWARD OFFERED…
It is with UTMOST REGRET that I share a very UNFORTUNATE incident that occurred at my in-laws’ residence in Marondera during the early hours of this morning, 18th March 2025. According to information confirmed by the Zimbabwe Republic Police, a case of armed robbery is under investigation involving 20 suspects who UNLAWFULLY gained access to my in-law’s residence at Alpha and Omega Farm and stole a significant sum of MONEY and various valuable items. I STRONGLY CONDEMN such cowardly criminal conduct and kindly request the public to cooperate with the police by providing any information that could lead to the identification and arrest of these offenders.

To support this PUBLIC effort, I am offering a reward of USD 100,000 in hard CASH to anyone who will provide CREDIBLE information leading to the positive IDENTIFICATION of ANY or ALL of these SHAMELESS robbers, their residential locations or other significant particulars and ultimately their ARREST. This reward is offered on a NO QUESTIONS ASKED basis, provided any of the culprits are identified and apprehended.
