Harare. (News Of The South) – Newly elected House of Assembly member for Harare East Constituency as well as a banker Honorable Terence Mukupe spent a night in the cells for allegedly disturbing course of justice at Mabvuku Police station on Tuesday evening.

Honorable Terence Mukupe visited Mabvuku Police Station to investigate the arrest of 13 ZANU PF youth by the Police for allegedly invading the land belonging to Shelter Zimbabwe.

It was during time of serious investigation and questioning when Honorable Terence Mukupe was arrested and detained at Rhodesville Police station.

The war between the Chombo and Mukupe camp is far from being over according to sources and one should be kindly appreciated to note that it’s from the same root traced leading to Honorable Mukupe’s arrest.

According to documents in our possession below is an outline of what really transpired leading to the arrests of both ZANU PF youths and Hon Mukupe.

Homeless youths from Mabvuku/Tafara identified the idle land in the area and had to resettle themselves through a company Pure Gold.

The land development permit of Pure Gold company owned by Harare Resident Minister Miriam Chikukwa was revoked leading to land being given to Shelter Zimbabwe.

Nimrod Chiminya brother to former Local government and current Home Affairs minister Cde Chombo is the Co owner of Shelter Zimbabwe an NGO claiming ownership of the invaded land.

According to an interview with one police officer Mr Ndlovu from Mabvuku Police Station, the directive to have the youth evicted and arrested, as well as the arrest of Honorable Mukupe come from the top government seniors who happen to be against the reign of Hon Terence Mukupe to power.

“We had to arrest the youths because it was a directive from our bosses”, said officer Ndlovu.

It has been brought to the attention of this publication that a day after Honorable Mukupe’s arrest, in the politiburo meeting Cde Chombo through Mrs Chizema(a 500 stands beneficiary from Shelter Zimbabwe) accused Honorable Terence Mukupe to be a land baron.

The relationship between Shelter Zimbabwe and police through Home Affairs minister has led to many questions being asked leading to a biased eviction and arrest of innocent homeless people.

Failure to produce an eviction order by Shelter Zimbabwe caused the youth to resist eviction leading to their arrests.

Shelter Zimbabwe failed also to produce papers of ownership to the land.

Mukupe had to investigate by thoroughly questioning why arrested youths were denied access to food while in cells and why it was past 48 hrs and the case had not been heard in the courts.

A directive was given from Home Affairs Minister to have Honorable Mukupe arrested for allegedly disturbing police course of justice.

Mr Chombo is the one who in 2013 supported the candidacy of Nimrod Chiminya together with Webster Shamu in Mashonaland West.

Cde Chombo has been fighting Hon Terence Mukupe since his inception into politics as he was supporting Cde Mavis Gumbo who was rival to Mukupe’s ascendancy to the seat.

Police officers were seen in Shelter Zimbabwe vehicles when they were evicting the youths from the land a move unethically wrong.
