Hope Masike, one of Zimbabwe’s renowned female music artists is to celebrate her birthday on Friday with a dual gig featuring Victor Kunonga at Theatre in the Park in the Harare gardens.
According to Luckmore Muzava, Masike’s Publicist and Booking Manager, Masike will present songs from her two albums and new songs from her upcoming third album in her usual energetic and elegant fashion.
Hope Masike possesses an electric and captivating stage presence and has promised an unforgettable concert full of new, great and unique performances.
Muzava said that tickets for the show are already on sale at Theatre in the Park and Techtools in Avondale, Harare.
“The coming together of these two artists whose artistry of exceptional value makes this a not to miss concert,” Muzava said.
He also revealed that Victor Kunonga is working on producing a Hugh Masekela project set to be released this year.
Writing on his facebook page Victor Kunonga has promised fireworks at the event.
“We plan to give you a show like no other tonight. See you all there. Hope Masike and I are ready to go”, he said.
Masike has risen to be the new global exponent of the mbira genre in Zimbabwe after the sad passing away of Chiwoniso Maraire.
