Harare, Zimbabwe. (News of The South) – In an unprecedented situation a group of armed youths have this afternoon intensified violent attacks on innocent people around First Street area in the Central Business District of Harare.
Scenes witnessed by News of The South crew shows that a group of heavily armed youths turning the first street area into an unstable atmosphere as the police riot responded with urgency to the hostile some situation.
Ordinary members of the public would be atrociously get stoned by people for no clear reasons. Some were gigantic holding metal weapons intensifying a guerrilla attack on anyone seen walking along the first street area.
When the police riots mounted thier heavy presence around the area it took a while before the situation returned to nomalcy. It is not clear on the motive behind the terrific incident by the youth as the perpetrators of violent scenes remained unidentified.
A certain man who commented on condition of anonymity said that a block of stone had been thrown on his arm before he quickly ran away to save his life.
Efforts to get comments from Police Spokesperson Ass Commissioner Paul Nyathi became fruitless as his moble phone went unanswered.
The event which took place in the afternoon could be a testimony of violent culture that has engulfed people after the August attacks and January 14 this year.
