COVID-19 :Jazz Maestro Sally Chamunorwa Cries Foul

South Africa (News of the South) Music industry is one of the most affected industries due to the Coronavirus pandemic as most of the artists depends on their audiences for the gate takings and music selling as such the majority of artists have been impoverished by the effects of the lockdown .
” l recorded my first album “Phakama Africa ” in 2015 and it was a special dedication to my brother who suddenly died of very unclear circumstances , the second album was recorded in 2017 with a title track called “Ndiitei Mudziyo Wenyu Mwari ” and the third which is the latest in 2019 known as ” Mirai Netariro,” Chamunorwa said.
” l should have done my fourth one in April 2020 but the lockdown stopped me and I’m still planning how I will start after the Covid-19, ” narrated Chamunorwa .
Other artists who have excelled in the music industry are now earning their living by even doing other domestic activities in order to survive .
Sally is also doing domestic work in South Africa .”l am into Refuge , Jazz and Afro-Pop , as a lone singer l personally sell my music discs and I’ve now engaged Diamonds Studios to market my songs ” said Chamunorwa.
Sally Chamunorwa is a Zimbabwean artist who grew up in rural Mhondoro and now based in South Africa where she composes and records her music.
She is grateful to her fans who are purchase her music even during the lockdown.
