Tinoonga Mawere(News of the South) – Masvingo- A cholera outbreak is looming in Zaka District, Masvingo Province following the prolonged shortage of water .
Ministry of Health and Child Care officials in Zaka District have reported that the prolonged shortage of water in the area has become perilous.
Zaka North MP Robson Mavhenyengwa of the ruling party Zanu PF yesterday appealed for urgent help from stakeholders to avert potential disaster.
“There is no water supply at local clinics and schools and the situation is worrisome.
Staff members at local schools are drawing water from unprotected sources, leaving them facing the risk of contracting water borne diseases,” said Mavhenyengwa.
