Harare, Zimbabwe. (News Of The South) – A brace by Obadiah Tarumbwa inside 2 minutes of player and a superb goal by Tafadzwa Kutinyu in the second half ensured Chicken inn with maximum points.Chicken inn humiliated the Harare giants Dynamos fc by (3-0) three goals to nil yesterday afternoon at Barbourfields stadium. The match was watched by a good crowd especially by the DeMbare fans who filled the Mpilo end.
The Zimbabwean Champions Chicken inn was the first to test the Dynamos goalkeeper, pressurizing in the first opening 10 minutes.
It was Tafadzwa Kutinyu who missed a seater inside the penalty box in the 3rd minute of the match,7 minutes later Matawu came close but failed to direct his header to a yawning goal after being fed by Tarumbwa.Chicken inn was all over Dynamos fc,in a glimpse of an eye Dynamos got a break through in the 11 minute with Mutuma in possession outside the home side penalty box,he fired a blistering shot which was punched for a corner by Elvis Chipezeze in goals for Chicken inn.
Chicken inn failed to hold on their grip and they gave Dynamos room to breathe.Dynamos fc took the game from Chicken inn but they found the Gamecocks defence resolute. The Chicken inn rear guard which was marshalled by Moses Jackson,Lawrence Mhlanga in the central defence with Divine Lunga and Passmore Bernard on the left and right respectively, stood firm with Danny “Deco” Phiri giving them the needed cover. The trusted Elvis Chipezeze started in goals, whilst Tafadzwa Kutinyu was the key man in the central midfield position. On the wings there was Edmore Chirambadare on the left and Clemence Matawu on the right with the two front runners Mitchelle Katsvairo and Obadiah Tarumbwa completing the first eleven for Joey Antipas’s men.
The Dynamos fc gaffer Paulo Silva gave the Zimbabwean national team number one goalkeeper Tatenda Mukuruva the node to guard between the sticks with Elisha Muroiwa and Sydney Linyama in central defence whilst Ocean Mushure on the left and Godknows Murwira on the right. The defensive role was given to Steven Alimenda though it looked like Silva was using twin defensive players with Walter Mukanga also playing that role, though he ventured upfront sometimes when the team was in attack. On the wings there was Simba Mambare and Farai Mupasiri they occasional swaped positions.Rodrick Mutuma and Richard Kawondera were the two centre forward.
It was an entertaining match, swinging from one end to the other. In 40th minute Katsvairo beat a cluster of Dynamos defenders but failed to round off Mukuruva who saved the attack.Walter Mukanga drove a powerful shot outside Chicken inn 18 yards box but Jackson was equal to the task blocking the shot deflecting for a corner. There was purposeful football in both teams, playing a passing game but they failed to utilise the clear cut scoring opportunities. They went for the. Oranges in a nil all scoreline.
Chicken inn came from the breather firing from all cylinders, in the 2rd minute of the second half an inviting cross into the Dembare penalty box there was a mix up between Mukuruva and his defenders, they were nearly punished only Mushure saved the situation clearing the ball from the goal line.Silva sensing danger he substituted Mambare in the 10th minute of the second half and in came Kenneth Bulaji. In the 11 minute Dembare nearly took the lead but Kawondera’s shot was blocked from Mutuma’s cross.Richard Kawondera was shown a red card in the 14th minute of the second half after receiving a second yellow card for kicking the ball from Chipezeze’s.The referee had blown for a foul. With Dembare down to ten men,Chicken inn piled more pressure to the visitors with Chirambadare causing all sorts of problems to the Dembare rearguard though he was a bit selfish at times.
Things changed in the 15th minute of the second half when Chirambadare roasted the Dembare defenders on the left flank before laying the ball to Obadiah to beat Mukuruva from a deflection to make it 1-0.Two minutes later Obadiah was on the score sheet again.Mitchelle Katsvairo beat a Dynamos defender on the left flank and laid the ball to an unmarked Tarumbwa who scored from close range his second goal of the day.
Dembare made their final substitution in the 20th and 22nd minute bringing Tichaona Chipunza for aging Alimenda and Dominic Mukandi for Mukanga.Chicken inn skipper Danny “Deco” Phiri came close to register his name in the score sheet when his 45meter shot was tiped over the bar by Mukuruva.Things fall apart for Dembare when Matawu’s cross was met by the gangly Midfielder Tafadzwa Kutinyu who made no mistake with a superb first touch strike to beat the otherwise impressive Tatenda Mukuruva to make it 3-0 in favour of Chicken inn.
Chicken inn went on to bring a fresh of pair legs to maintain a clean sheet in the 32,35 and 40th minute in the second stanza, they brought in Moses Demera for Oba,George Majika for Matawu and Pride Tafirenyika for Kutinyu. The match ended after 2 minutes of added time Chicken inn suffocating the out of sorts Dynamos FC 3-0 in front of their spirited supporters.
It was a bad start for Paulo Jorge Silva. As a new coach in Zimbabwe hope he needed a win to gain confidence and giving him the needed bond with the players, fans and the executive rather than to be welcomed by baptism of fire in the Zimbabwean premier soccer league its very unfortunate.
