London, England (News of The South) – United Kingdom patiently waited for Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s latest update on Coronavirus guidelines to control the virus. Many expressed disappointment as his message was not clear.
” Stay Alert, Control the virus and stay safe” is the new message, a change from Stay at home. On the issue of England’s return to work Johnson said people can go to work but should use bicycles , their cars or walk and should avoid public transport. That statement however poses more questions? Who is it who can now go to work because he went on to say schools and shops are likely to open in June. Should people decide to buy bikes where do they buy the bikes yet shops are expected to open in June. Does this mean those wishing to go back to work can only do so in June after being able to buy bikes? So if one cannot buy a bike it means they should buy a car if it is not possible to walk to work? Most shops selling bikes are currently closed as they were considered not to be essential services, so where are the people expected to buy bikes from? Johnson failed to appeal to bike shops and bike manufacturers to open and increase production, are the bicycles manufacturered in the UK or are they imported? How many bicycle plants are in the UK? These questions remain unanswered. From Boris Johnson’s update do the British police know exactly what to do? Previously we saw them arrest or caution people due to lack of clear instructions and apologies were issued.
Stranger than fiction Johnson said all air travellers arriving in the UK were to be quarantined yet forgetting others who don’t arrive by air. There are people who arrive in the UK via the English channel tunnel is from France, other arrivals are by ferry maybe Johnson has forgotten all these. If not forgotten should they not be quarantined as well as they pose the risk of bringing the infection in? Many questions but no answers.
Boris Johnson faces a hard time in the British parliament on Monday as questions will be flying from all angles. The issue about covid – 19 deaths from nursing homes is another issue to be addressed, so far no clear communication has been made on what changes are to be made in nursing homes to reduce the numbers of infections or deaths. Many people are questioning the Sat at home and protect the NHS as people should stay at home to protect themselves, it’s not just the NHS but the people, maybe it should have been
“stay at home protect yourself, protect the NHS” because for one to protect the NHS they should start off by protecting themselves then they will not end up in hospital.
Just a few weeks ago Boris Johnson was criticizing Donald Trump who was uttering nonsense when giving Coronavirus updates at press conferences. Is Donald Trump just the same as Boris Johnson? Are they both clowns or what? Is it correct to say the Coronavirus scare that got Johnson in hospital as far as ICU left him confused and scared? As a Prime Minister Johnson is under too much pressure from the cabinet and the nation. Is it not fair to give him the benefit of the doubt considering that he recently recovered from the deadly Coronavirus has obviously shaken him left right and centre. Johnson is trying very hard to do the right thing but what really is the right thing and when should he act?
Johnson was left traumatised from the infection when he had Coronavirus, on his discharge from hospital he admitted that he almost lost his life, bless him. Maybe the public should bear with Johnson as it’s not easy being in that hot seat, thank God BBC will not grill him on BBC Hardtalk. It’s important to remember the virus is still very much out there, Stay Alert! Control the virus! Save lives!
