SUPERSTAR BEYONCÉ has shown the world she is standing by sister Solange two days after leaked footage showed her sibling attacking her rapper husband Jay Z in a New York hotel lift.
The Drunk in Love singer posted a series of photos on her Instagram account showing the pair at happier times.
Her posts come a day after Solange deleted all the pictures of Beyoncé from her Instagram account, and is Beyonce’s first social media response since the incident, which happened on the night of the Met Gala on May 4.
The bust up, reportedly occurred after rap mogul Jay Z said he was attending Rihanna’s Met Ball after party without his wife.
According to the New York Daily News, the blazing row was actually sparked by Jay Z, who snapped at Solange when two of her friends tried to get into the after-party at The Standard hotel in Manhattan by saying they were friends of the rapper.
And it was when Solange demanded that she, her superstar sibling and Jay Z leave the party. At that point, it is believed Jay Z said he was heading off to Rihanna’s bash without Beyoncé, prompting Solange to hit out at him.
The footage showed the rapper and his wife stepping into an elevator with her singer sibling, before Solange snapped and started to kick out, unleashing a violent attack which was captured by surveillance cameras.
In a statement, the hotel said it was investigating the leak. A spokesperson said: “We are shocked and disappointed that there was a breach of our security system and confidentiality we count on providing our guests.
“We are investigating with the utmost urgency the circumstances surrounding the situation and, as is our customary practice, will discipline the individuals involved to our fullest capacity.” – Voice
