BEYONCÉ and Jay Z have ended speculation that their six-year marriage is on the rocks after renewing their wedding vows during a family holiday to Corsica, according to reports.
The superstar couple are said to have reaffirmed their love for each other in an special commitment ceremony for Beyonce’s 33rd birthday earlier this month.
Bey, 33, and Jay, 44, have ridden a wave of speculation that their union is headed for divorce after a CCTV footage showing singer’s sister Solange hitting Jay Z in a New York elevator was leaked.
The rumours were further fuelled by claims the couple slept in separate rooms while on their joint On The Run tour and had sought marriage counselling.
According to Grazia, Beyonce decided the milestone was the perfect point to put all the negativity behind them and move forward as a couple.
A source told the magazine: “They were joined on a private beach by Beyoncé’s mum Tina, their daughter Blue Ivy and a small group of close friends and recited a new set of vows during a short but very romantic ceremony, which doubled up as a birthday celebration.
“The small wedding party celebrated with drinks and food made by the couple’s private chef. Afterwards, they rented a luxury $500,000 a yacht to cruise around Italy, which they have been calling their second honeymoon.
“From now on, they intend to mark the day of the ceremony as their new wedding anniversary and have told friends they are focusing firmly on their future together.”
The change in direction for the pair comes amid reports they are expecting a second child.
Jay Z himself hinted that Beyonce could be with child during their concert in Paris on Friday.
During his song Beach is Better, he changed the lyrics from ‘I replace it with another one’ to ‘pregnant with another one’.
