HARARE.(News Of The South) There was shock in Zimbabwe on Monday morning when a new born baby girl was found dumped amongst rubbish in Avondale West.

The baby was found by passerbys who heard loud crying from the distressed baby who was covered in rubbish.

Baby dumping was popular in the 80s in Zimbabwe but there has been a lot of education on what steps to take in the event of one not wanting their newly born baby.

Such information includes giving up the baby for adoption to those who can help or want to help raise the baby as well as handing the baby over to a childrens home where the baby can be safe and well looked after.
