Harare, Zimbabwe. (News of The South) – The poverty datamline of the country has flactuated beyond any level of normalcy yet consensus has not been reached in coming up with explanatory theories to the cause and solutions of the current economic doldrums.
Since the inception of the Second Republic under the New Dispensation corruption has been sited as the main culprit behind economic decadence in the country.
However the the whole narrative has radically shifted with the later perspectives pointing to the sanctions imposed on Zimbabwe as the germ of destruction to the country’s economic systems.
The motion has been recently brought to public attention by Zimbabwe Amalgamated Council of Churches (ZACC) and Coalition Against Sanctions (CAS) which was lauched yesterday.
CAS has been embraced by civic groups, students union, youth and business community and seeks to launch an outreach programme aimed at enlightening the general populace of the extent the sanctions are crippling the national economy.
According to Dr Todson Gomo sanctions are limiting the national economy from performing its best level hence the need to call for thier urgent removal.
“The issue of sanctions has been hindering progress to the national economic development of the country hence the need to urgently call for their removal.”
On the other hand it has emerged that the delay in the repatriation agenda of Zimbabwe’s Royals’ Skulls such as Mbuya Nehanda from from United Kingdom have been spotted as the religious cause behind the current economic turmoil in the country.
According to Dr Joseph Pagan’a a Religious Researcher said Zimbabwe is now in a state where no economic model will bring out the highly anticipated economic prosperity as everything has been held on constant until efforts to bring back remnants of spirit mediums that lie in United Kingdom are brought to the motherland.
“It should be a known fact that the economy has reached a point where no theory or economic model will ever make the nation restore its economic recovery until efforts are made to repatriate Mbuya Nehanda and others skulls from the United Kingdom.
Furthermore it has emerged that the continued delay to repatriate the remnants of Mbuya Nehanda and other Seven Chiefs from United Kingdom is likely to worsen the current economic situation and untold sufferings.
The current situation is aggravating each day with the inflation threatening to exponentially alarm beyond any point of imagination.
Given the current scenario the government has to devise longterm strategic measures to restore the economic stability that has vanished in the past two decades.
