Tinoonga Mawere(News of the South)- Harare- The Deputy Minister of Home Affairs, Michael Madiro, has said the government has placed measures to apprehend unruly security agents who allegedly terrorised women during the mass protests that rocked the nation two weeks ago.

Madiro was responding to questions from MDC A senators Tichinani Mavetera and Lilian Timveous on the action taken by the Home Affairs Ministry to apprehend the alleged perpetrators of violence.

“I want to assure you that frantic efforts are being made to arrest perpetrators of violence.

We have received reports about state security agents who allegedly raped women.

Those who committed crime will be arrested and that I can assure you,” said Madiro in the Senate today.

“I subscribe to the view that the citizens of the Republic of Zimbabwe should have confidence in the police force,” added Madiro.
