Bajan singer’s fashion photoshoot causes upset in Abu Dhabi

OFFENSIVE PICTURE: Rihanna was reportedly asked to leave Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque after this picture was taken
RIHANNA HAS been accused of violating ‘the sanctity of a mosque’ following a photoshoot in the normally private area of the holy building.
The Bajan singer, who was in the Muslim City of Abu Dhabi as part of her Diamonds World Tour, offended staff at the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque by arranging a fashion-style photo session in an area normally off limits for visitors, it has been reported.
The mosque, a popular tourist site in the United Arab Emirates’ capital, said the 25-year-old star, who was dressed fully in black, with her hair covered in accordance with the mosque’s guidelines, violated rules on the “status and sanctity of the mosque.”
However, despite the controversy, the usually scantily-clad singer appeared to be on her best behaviour on stage, covering herself from head-to-toe in an all-white ensemble.
Singing hits from her famous back catalogue, Rihanna wore a baseball cap laden with layers of white fabric flowing all the way down her back, a white vest top, baggy trousers and what appeared to be a raincoat.- Voice
