Nairobi. (News Of The South) – Gunmen in Kenya`s north eastern Mandera Town killed for more people on Sunday night.
The attacks which took place at 8.30pm following Friday attacks on Mandera Governor Ali Roba saw three people die two of them policemen.
Mandera East Deputy County Commissioner Elvis Korir highlighted that police investigations were ongoing so comments could be issued.
It is yet to be established who the attackers are and what their motive is.
Kevin Ochieng was shot five times as he walked home on Sunday night.
Inspector-General of Police Joseph Boinett on Sunday said the gunmen who attacked Mr Roba’s convoy might have been bandits, not terrorists.
During the attack, up to 30 men sprayed two of the vehicles in the convoy with bullets and one vehicle was burnt.
Mr Duale reportedly said Kenya was ready to send elders and religious leaders to lead the negotiations.
“If you want us to send you elders, and religious leaders we will do so. If you want us to send you political leaders, we will do so. Just tell us where we should come to meet you but give Kenya a wide berth,” he said.
