Luis Suarez notched four goals to become the first player in Premier League history to score three trebles against the same opposition as Liverpool thumped Norwich 5-1 at Anfield on Wednesday night.
The controversial Uruguayan striker has now netted 11 goals in four meetings against Norwich.In the 15th minute he opened the scoreline with a long range volley, before adding the second of the night from a corner kick 14 minutes later.
He completed his third hat-trick and third goal of the night against Norwich with a beautiful strike from the edge of the box to become the first player to score three hat-tricks against the same opponent, and with 15 minutes to spare he curled a free kick to register his fourth.
However, Norwich City got their consolation goal from Bradley Johnson before Raheem Sterling finished off the match with two minutes to go as Liverpool recorded their fourth successive win against their opponents.
In the absence of strike partner Daniel Sturridge, the burden was upon Suarez who did not disappoint the home fans as he was lively from the onset, running at the visiting defence and looking to motivate others to gain composure.
Brendan Rodgers later on decided to substitute the talismanic striker so that the fans would cheer him for his job well done.
